Day 6: Last Day of Conference

The conference finally came to end today.  It was really worthwhile.  I met a lot of really bright academics from around the world.  The venue (a high school) worked really well.


These are views from the hallway.  The neighborhood is very residential.


I went to a lot of provocative sessions.  This was on visual discourse analysis of picture books was fun.  We used our iPhones to make a character seem strong, weak, etc. etc.  Also interesting was the use of Lego people since Lego comes from Denmark.


The conference ended in the late afternoon.  We had dinner at a restaurant called Barr.  It is across the bay from our hotel, but there is a great bike/pedestrian bridge--so it was an easy walk.







It seems impossible, but tonight I had the best chicken I have ever tasted.  And, of course--I forgot to take a photo.
