Day 4: Tivoli & European Literacy Conference

Last night we really lucked out.  We found out about the Copenhagen Opera Festival.  We were lucky enough to get two of the last seats for one of the performances.

 
We heard the Copenhagen Philharmonic with a wonderful tenor and a soprano singing arias at the Tivoli Concert Hall.




It was a lovely evening.  I think we were practically the only foreigners in the crowd.

Tivoli Gardens was a total surprise for me.  I didn't realize it was an amusement park.  Apparently this is where Walt Disney got his idea for Disneyland.





Today was the first day of the European Literacy Conference.  Another lucky event--I got to give my talk today.  It was well-received with a packed room.  Lots of stimulating conversations.
